Lifelong Foundations

How we shape the earliest years of your child’s learning journey — right here in Maihar, without sending them anywhere else.

There is a lot of talk about “the right school” — but not enough about the right age to start. The truth is, the years before Class 1 matter more than most parents realise. A child’s brain between ages 2 and 6 is absorbing everything around it — language, feelings, habits, curiosity. At Bright Global School, we do not treat these years as a warm-up. We treat them as the main event. No pressure, no rush — just a thoughtfully built environment where children grow at their own pace, and fall in love with learning before they even know that is what they are doing.

Play School

Age 1.5 – 2.5 years

Their first step away from home — and we treat it that way.

Dropping your child off for the very first time is not easy. We know that. Which is why our Play School classrooms are built to feel less like a school and more like a second home — warm, unhurried, and full of people who genuinely enjoy being around little children. No assessments, no pressure, no expectations beyond one: that your child ends each day happy and slightly more curious than they were in the morning. We use sensory play, simple rhymes, guided movement, and storytelling to help children begin understanding the world around them — on their own terms.

Sensory play. Storytelling. Rhymes & music. Motor skill building. Social comfort.

Nursery

Age 2.5 – 3.5 years

Curiosity finds its first language here.

Nursery children ask a lot of questions. Good — we love that. This is the age when language suddenly takes off, when a child points at a cloud and has an opinion about it, when friendships start forming over shared crayons and building blocks. Our teachers at this stage are not just educators — they are patient observers who understand that every child learns differently and at a different pace. We introduce letter shapes, numbers, and colours through activities and games, never through rote repetition. The goal at the end of Nursery is not a score — it is a child who is excited to come back tomorrow.

Language skills. Pre-writing. Number awareness. Art & craft. Peer interaction.

“A child who actually looks forward to school — that is the real head start.”

The belief that shapes everything we do here

LKG — Lower Kindergarten

Age 3.5 – 4.5 years

From playing around ideas to actually working with them.

LKG is when children begin to enjoy a bit of routine — and that is something we lean into carefully. Days become slightly more structured, but the spirit stays playful. Children begin writing letters with intention, counting objects beyond just reciting numbers, and participating in group activities that teach them how to take turns, contribute, and listen. Show-and-tell sessions are a favourite here — because they build something no worksheet can: the confidence to speak up in a room full of people. By the end of LKG, children are not just learning content. They are learning how to learn.

Letter writing. Counting & patterns. Show & tell. Group tasks. Daily routine

UKG — Upper Kindergarten

Age 4.5 – 5.5 years

Ready for the next chapter — and genuinely looking forward to it.

UKG is the last year before formal schooling, and we take that responsibility seriously. By the time a child finishes UKG at Bright Global, they know how to read simple words, work with basic numbers, follow instructions, and — just as importantly — handle a little bit of setback without falling apart. These are the skills that actually matter when they walk into Class 1. We weave reading readiness, early mathematics, creative writing, and physical activities together in a way that keeps things interesting from Monday to Saturday. No child here is reduced to how fast they finish a worksheet.

Reading readiness. Basic mathematics. Early writing. Physical activity. Confidence building
